Axos Rewards Checking Bonus

Axos Rewards Checking is offering an amazing $500 bonus when you open a new account and complete the qualifying activities.

To make the deal even sweeter, you can earn up to 3.30% APY (annual percentage yield) on your balance if you meet the requirements. That’s better than the national average for savings accounts, according to the FDIC.

In partnership with Axos Bank, let’s take a closer look at the details and how you can take advantage of this awesome offer.

Earn A $500 Bonus With Axos Rewards Checking

Now through July 31, 2024, you can earn a cash bonus of $500 when you open a new Axos Rewards Checking account and complete the qualifying activities.

To qualify, you must do the following for 5 statement cycles in the first six months you have your account opened:

How To Earn Up To 3.30% APY

The bonus is just the first incentive! The Axos Rewards Checking Account also can earn up to 3.30% APY.

The APY is tiered, so here's what you need to know:

  • Baseline: 0.40% APY when you receive monthly direct deposits totaling $1,500 or more. This is required to unlock the remaining tiers.
  • Debit Card Spending or Personal Finance Manager: 0.30% APY when you use your Axos Visa Debit Card for a total of 10 transactions per month (min $3 transactions) or sign up for Personal Finance Manager in Online Banking.
  • Managed Portfolios: 1.00% APY when you maintain an average daily balance of $2,500 in an Axos Invest Managed Portfolios Account.
  • Self-Directed Trading: 1.00% APY when you maintain an average daily balance of $2,500 in an Axos Invest Self-Directed Trading Account.
  • Loan Payment: 0.60% APY when you use your Rewards Checking account to make your full monthly Axos Bank consumer loan payment (mortgage, auto, and personal loans are eligible).

Who Is Axos Bank?

Axos Bank started life on July 4, 2000, as Bank of Internet USA, offering only basic checking services. The bank’s focus was on a superior online experience coupled with 24/7 access.

On October 1, 2018, the company changed to Axos Bank and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “AX.” Existing brands were absorbed into Axos Bank. These included Bank of Internet USA, BofI Federal Bank, including BofI Advisor, Bank X, NetBank, Apartment Bank, Annuitants Federal Bank, and Virtus Bank.

Axos Bank is still very focused on the “100% digital” experience, as evidenced by its lack of branches. No branches mean higher rates of return for customers through financial products. Axos Bank is also a full-service bank with financial products for individuals and businesses that span deposit accounts and loans.

Final Take

Axos Rewards Checking is a solid checking account option that has an amazing bonus to get started. If you’ve been on the fence about making the leap, now’s a great time to open an account and start being “rewarded” for your checking.
