In reply to Krista. Community college is free in about half of states these days. Beyond the state-based programs, there are still lots of Federal loan forgiveness programs available - especially popular ones like PSLF. All you have to do is be employed in a public service organization (Fed, state, local government, education, non-profit, etc.). Doesn't matter the job, just who employs you. Associates degrees are now free for community college students from 25 yrs. Of age and up. I went to school and graduated with an associate’s degree and now I’ve been harboring this debt for 8 years. I can’t keep up with interest (when it was accruing) is there any relief for regular people?

I am a full time RN for 7 years In the front lines for the entire pandemic. I have student loans c. 48,000. What are my options for loan forgiveness?

In reply to Hussain Bakir. Sorry, you are past the age that you can enlist/join the military. For someone younger, they could have joined the Army or Navy and had $65,000 forgiven instead of getting the GI Bill.
