That’s frustrating. Here’s what you need to know about tax offsets due to student loans: https://thecollegeinvestor.com/20755/stopping-tax-offsets-due-student-loan-debt/

I never got my degree because they told me I ran out of funding 7 classes from graduating. The past two years I got my full refund…why did they take it this year?. My refund was to put a new engine in my truck so I could get to work and pay Bill’s. Now I cant. I never got a letter. And was told my money was already in my bank. When I was last notified it was for unemployment fraud. I owed 5,000 but they took 3 times what I owed. It was never stated that it was for student loans. This is so wrong…I’m in financial hardship. I barely make enough to pay my rent and Bill’s. I want to know why I get my refund one year then they take it the next. And if they take it for my loans why arent they going down? They keep going up saying I never paid. Are they just taking my money?

Student Loan Hero is the only app/website that tracks student loans somewhat well.
