They held my refund for 18 months and I didn’t get any interest I was told I would but didn’t happen so don’t get your hopes up and it took 18 months to get my refund

Same thing is happening to me this is the second year the first time was in 2022 and I didn’t get my refund until summer of 2023 that’s right 18 months later this year my letter was mailed March 18 still no money I called tax advocate she said they can’t help until June 30 meantime I am about to lose everything

According to the fed; they told me they have at least 120 days to process this. If you don’t receive it they stated you can call back. Again, what ever happened to processing items in order. Time and Date Stamped is a critical process for any legal process.

I have been using the same preparer for 40+ years; never an issue. I waited for my return and never got it. Trying to get through to the IRS is a nightmare. So I elected to set up an appointment. My issue is that they have no basis for this. Tell me what you think is wrong. Next they are not processing returns in electronic submission order. In my case they are holding a letter until 3-18-24; no the day you determined you thought there could be an issue you should have let me know. I have more taken out of my taxes for all my employers. Why? Because I don’t want to owe anyone; let alone the fed the beginning of the year. They could have given me some and then held some. This is poor communication towards someone who you use their money all year. In addition, if people like me did not pay money to you the system would collapse. I challenge any politician to contact me. Poor.
